Buddy Hyphen Baker DOT US: This is the primary site of the network, started in 2008. BBUS as it is referred to for short, is my personal domain for my web page. Visitors will find the BBUS Blogs on this site. Without BBUS, there would be no websites at all on the network. Think of this as the “anchor” of the ship. There were a lot of people that helped me make this site a reality, and I would not be able to do what I am doing today without their help, support, and guidance.

Buddy Hyphen Baker DOT COM: (The Business Arm of the BBWN): This is the primary site for business type ventures. The Main site that runs here will be that of the Trinity Community Thrift Store. BBDC as it is referred to was obtained in March of 2017, so that we will have a domain to run the Thrift Store from. Since I am technically the “owner” of the store, I figured that since we do so much good for the community, that it was time to reserect the website. This time however, it will be easier then spending HOURS hard coding pages by hand. WordPress makes this easier, and less hectic, and I am able to make a more profrssional-looking product for the general public to use. Thanks Go to Paul Audy, (The Founder of the Store) for all he has done, and for giving me the opportunity to continue his dream for the forseeable future, and for all the staff, Volunteers and the Community at large for allowing me to serve them. I will mostlikely have a consulting or business section here, but we will see how this goes.

Buddy Hyphen Baker DOT ORG: (The Organizational Arm of the BBWN): This site was obtained in November 2017, as an extension of the network, I want to be able to have this domain for use by others as they may want to build websites, and this would be optimum in the future, as I can now create virtual websites in my config files. This site may acquire some content from BBUS and this would allow me to streamline some of the important information, consolidating it to one domain. BBDO as it is referred to will mostlikely be a place to allow users to host webpages that they want to run, and I can also use it as an “informational Hub” to my userbase. ANY Site in the BBWN will also be able to be accessed from here as well.

REDIRECT: We have set up a redirect that will now forward visitors who visit BBUS and BBDC. Previously, visitors would have to type the FULL address to where they were going like: buddy-baker.us/blog/ to get to the blog’s Main Page. Now, anyone who types the address and presses enter (buddy-baker.us) will be refirected in a few seconds to the blogs front page. if someone types buddy-baker.com/ they will be directed to the Main Gateway Page at buddy-baker.com/Main/

This has the effect of correcting a major problem that I was trying to solve. I wanted to direct my users to the directories that have usable content on the sites, and not have them looking at just a dead index. Adding a Redirect to the index files insures that my visitors will land where they are supposed to be on the network, rather then to see the directory tree of the domains. BBDO does *NOT* need a redirect, because the install was made in the root directory for that domain, and any content served from there comes directly from the public directories.

BBDC: The store webpage at buddy-baker.com/store/ has been updated for the Christmas Holiday Season. I have added a youtube video in the sites header, and also added the same video in a widget – That way, you can SEE a burning Yule Log. You will also HEAR the burning fire, and 2 HOURS of instrumental Christmas Music.

BBDC Store webpage has also had its Footers (all four of them) redesigned and updated to include useful infomation: Hours/Days of Store Operation, Store Physical Address, Store Phone Number, Store Email, Administrative Contact Information for BBUS/BBDC/BBDO, A Google Map, and a Store Operational Status Message: This lets people know any info about whether the store is OPEN, CLOSED, or any special conditions. This can be changed with one login in SECONDS as well 🙂
